The Feel at Home Fair is the biggest gathering of the international community in The Netherlands. A meeting point and a fun day out for everyone, and a one-stop shop for information and advice about getting the most out of life in this lovely place. The Fair is an opportunity to share with outsiders and insiders all that is bright for internationals who work and live here: bright people, bright career prospects and a bright social life in this bright city. Take a look at our website: www.feelathomeinthehague.com to see the 2020 Exhibitor List.  Check in regularly to find up-to-date news and information about the presentations and activities.

What’s new in 2020?

This year we welcome a new sector of exhibitors – the international employers – who will be at the front of city hall as part of this year’s Hague Talent Hub, showcasing the many exciting and rewarding career and training opportunities available to internationals already living in, or considering moving to the region. Many of them will be contributing to the brand new Raadzaal Lecture Series which will go live on the website tomorrow. You can see a sneak preview here: Raadzaal Lectures

Besides the international employers, we have an excellent variety of schools, universities and service providers, all of whom contribute to the region’s excellent infrastructure and make it an attractive work location to internationals from around the world.

Small Business, Workshops and Seminars

The Feel at Home Fair prides itself on representing the whole community and with this aim provides a platform to more than 40 local small businesses, many of them run by internationals who moved here with their companies or partners and decided to stay! Several of them contribute to the Fair’s Workshop Programme which is now up and running, featuring presentations on Work & Career, alongside Skills & Personal Development and Education & Information series.

Additionally, this week we launched the new Seminar Programme from our sponsors ABN AMRO and Expat Mortgages. If you really feel at home here, you may be thinking of putting down roots. These seminars will give valuable advice on buying a property as well as other financial investments which are relevant to the international community.

Food, Social & Community

As ever the Fair will be a showcase for a diverse range of sports, social and community groups which welcome international members. Beside 70+ Sport and Social stands, there will be the usual Podium Programme and a host of activities, demonstrations and try-outs in the Community Centre and throughout City Hall. A handy Fair Day app will guide you around the huge atrium and provide timetables for all the lectures, workshops and entertainment.

The International Food Court upstairs will serve meals throughout the day and there will be snacks and hot and cold drinks available from several different providers on the ground floor.

We look forward to welcoming you back for our celebration of the diverse and uniquely connected international community of The Hague region.
